What is happening, and when
GummySearch announced its closure on November 6, 2025 in a post titled "The Final Chapter for GummySearch." It stopped selling on November 30, 2025 and gave existing customers a final transition year.
"Starting November 30th, 2025, GummySearch will serve paid customers only and stop accepting new signups or renewals. The product will stay online for one final year, but the business itself will close."
"Dec 1, 2026: GummySearch shuts down entirely, all user data deleted."
Why GummySearch is closing
GummySearch was built on Reddit data. Its founder wrote that it tried to secure a commercial license for Reddit's Data API and could not reach an agreement, so it chose to close rather than keep selling without one.
"While GummySearch has been working with Reddit to obtain a commercial license for compliant access to Reddit's Data API, we were not able to reach an agreement that aligns with Reddit's Data API Usage policies."
"we're shutting down to comply with Reddit's API policies, which forbid commercial applications."
What you lose on December 1
GummySearch described itself as an audience research tool for Reddit. On December 1, 2026 the product shuts down and account data is deleted, which takes these with it:
Saved audiences
Your groups of subreddits and the research you organized around them.
Theme browsing
The summaries of pain points, solution requests, money talk, hot discussions, and people seeking alternatives.
Keyword tracking
Notifications when conversations matched your tracked keywords.
Lifetime deals
GummySearch says lifetime-deal holders have access until November 30, 2026. Paid subscribers keep access until the end of their billing period, for at most one year.
What to do before December 1
GummySearch says users can still log in and download an export of their account data, or delete their account. Do that first, while the export is still available.
Then list the jobs you actually used GummySearch for. Most people used it for one or two of these: finding sales leads, tracking keywords, or researching an audience and validating ideas. The right replacement depends on which.
"Free tier users can still log in and download an export of their account data or delete their account."

Best Reddit monitoring tools comparedAudience research and idea validation
This is the job least covered by any one replacement. GummySearch's own alternatives page lists several smaller tools for it. IntentHunter does not offer subreddit discovery or community size reports.
Moving your GummySearch workflow to IntentHunter
Run a free scan on your website. IntentHunter reads what you sell and suggests topics. Then carry over what you tracked: your competitors, the problems your customers describe, and the keywords you followed. Saved audiences become topics and sources, and theme browsing becomes one inbox ranked by buying intent, with a drafted reply on each conversation.
IntentHunter does not take a subreddit list. It searches public Reddit and the other sources for your topics and shows the community each match came from.
